I've been too tired/busy to track my food this week. We are moving into a new house on Tuesday and we both have busy work schedules this week, so it's a bit hectic.

I did weigh myself this morning and I've lost a pound since the last time I weighed in. The weight melted off my first week and now it's a real struggle. I'm getting a little fed up with it to be honest.

Just feeling run down and frustrated right now. I'll start tracking my food again next week after the move is done and we're settled in.

On another note, I'm not sure if this will reach a broad audience... But even if it catches one person's attention, it's worth a shot.

I had a rough day yesterday in terms of bloating, but I worked out in the evening and woke up with a flat stomach, so I hope that's all behind me.

I've been working from home since 7 a.m., on the couch with the heat blanket. It was snowing when I woke up, which is insane. You can see my videos of it
here and here.

Since I'm in extreme work mode, I've only eaten 2 biscuits and a cup of tea today. It's 3 p.m. and I'm starting to get hungry. I've been freezing all day, and I thought it was because it's so cold outside, but I just realized it may be because my blood sugar is low from not eating lunch. Is that possible?

Yesterday I ran on the elliptical for 30 full minutes. It was the longest I've run and also the least tired that I've felt after exercising. That's a huge win.

Hubby actually called me 20 minutes in, interrupting my new 'workout' playlist that was coming from my iPhone (lots of Lady Gaga and Coldplay), and we had a 5-minute phone conversation. It was incredible to be able to work out and talk to someone at the same time without being short of breath. What a difference from two months ago when we bought the Norditrack. My first workout was only 7 minutes long, and I had to use my asthma inhaler afterward because my lungs were tightening up.

When it comes to working out, the adage is true - practice makes perfect.

Exercise: 40 minutes on the elliptical / 275 calories burned

Breakfast
• 2 cups of coffee + half-and-half + raw sugar
• 1 small banana, 1 teaspoon natural peanut butter
• slice of toast + butter + strawberry preserves
1 BM

* Side story about breakfast - I woke up today feeling like it was time to treat myself to a cup of coffee and a piece of toast (gluten!). I ground two tablespoons of coffee beans in the spice grinder, brewed a small pot of Tim Horton's and toasted a thick slice of white bread and put butter and strawberry preserves on it. I settled onto the couch with my heated blanket turned to low and the fireplace roaring beside me... and I was underwhelmed by the food. I don't know if I've lost my taste for the things I used to love, or if it's just an off day for me, but I was so excited to treat myself and in the end the bread was bland and the coffee was meh. It's kind of disheartening to know that I don't enjoy food the way that I used to, but it also motivates me to continue eating a gluten & dairy-free diet since the "bad" stuff apparently doesn't do it for me like it used to.

Lunch
• homemade creamy chicken & wild rice soup (3 ladlefuls)
• herbal tea + honey

Snack
• 3/4 bag of Newman's own butter popcorn

Dinner
• homemade creamy chicken & wild rice soup (3 ladlefuls)

Snack
• 5 toasted marshmallows
