I decided to weight in early since I've reached a new milestone. ONE HUNDRED POUNDS LOST! That's since I started tracking mid May 2014. I'm very happy with that and shows what will and determination can do. I won't say it's been easy or without slip ups. I will say it is definitely worth it. I think I'm more physically fit than I have been since my early college days.
Now on to dropping the remaining 19 to my goal.
Have a great day everyone!

I just looked back at my weight log and last year at this time I was 260 lbs. It doesn't seem that long but I have come a long way since then. Back then I was into walking as I really couldn't run for any distance. It just shows what can be done with perseverance.
I'm still having trouble getting myself up and out of bed in the morning. I though the time change would help but I think it has made it worse. I have been making my workouts and really push when I get to the gym/track. It's just hard to get moving to get there in the first place. I'm wondering if I'm eating enough. My deficits haven't been that great and actually ate over maintenance on Sunday. Hopefully I can keep pushing through with my schedule, 6 days a week is proving to be rough when 4 of those days are running. I'll just need to give myself a morning pep talk to get moving. This isn't easy but I know it is worth it.
I hope everyone is having a great week!

A slight increase. I have increased my carbs so I expected a larger increase this week. I have also went over my target calories for the past 2 days but still showed a deficit. Overall I'm happy with this.
I have noticed a tremendous difference in my workouts since increasing my carbs. It has really helped with the endurance and intensity. I think I may have found a winning combination. The downside is I have been trying to lose weight for so long that I'm scared to eat at maintenance for the fear of gaining weight. I thought it wouldn't be an issue but I'm finding it is. I'm planning to eat at maintenance for 3 months as I begin specific training for the half marathon. Any suggestions on how to overcome this fear?
My workouts for the weeks were:
Monday - 46 min run, 4.05 miles, 11:24/mile
Tuesday - Weights, Upper body/core
Wednesday - 1 hour 10 minute run, 6.35 miles, 11:07/mile
Thursday - Weights, Lower body
Friday - 57 min run, 5 miles, 11:28/mile
Saturday - 2 hour run, 10.74 miles, 11:10/mile
I went for a massage after my run yesterday. My quads and IT bands were really tight. It was a little painful as they were loosened up but they felt a lot better afterwards. It really helped with the pain I normally feel after my long runs.
I hope everybody is having a great weekend!

Gaining 0.2 kg a Week
29 October 2015
I was using a handheld BIA device to measure my body fat. Today I was curious how that compares with the fat calipers I have. Now I'm in a quandary. The BIA has my body fat at around 25% while the calipers give 15%. Which one to use or do I just average?
