I am doing a restart on my plan because I have new information and a new plan to follow. Continuing with old measurements wouldn't be accurate. Today is Mother's day 2011 and I need this new start to be the best mother and grandmother I can be. I am starting with my weight, as of today, at 259 lbs.

Hi, everyone, I am back but doing things a bit differently this time. I have found out some health issues including adrenal exhaustion and clinical hypothyroidism. I was referred to a book by Dr. Eades "the 6 week cure for the middle aged middle" and I am starting the plan tomorrow morning. I will weigh in and measure everything in the morning for a new start. I am really excited about this plan. I also got a rebounder for my workouts and am starting that too. I know low carb works for me and now I have a refined plan to address the hormonal issues along with it.

Hi, I know its been awhile since I have been on here. I Have been fighting off depression big time and found out I have some thyroid issues. I have been sick and the doctor ordered bloodwork. Good news is that Atkins is doing great for my sugar, cholesterol and triglycerides...all are down to optimal levels. The bad news is my TSH is up to 4.9. This wouldn't be a biggie except that I also have a goiter and a cyst in my thyroid. From what I have read this is early hypothyroid and could be Hashimoto's disease. I am going to see a specialist on 4-20. The frustrating part is because I am so on the borderline the doctors won't give me the thyroid meds that I know will make me feel better. My primary Dr. said to come back in 3-6 mths like its no big deal. I am hoping and praying that the specialist will do something to help. Has anyone here dealt with a situation like this?

Ok, back on track. I have got to get off this roller coaster. I think this time I will though because I really felt sick from what I ate. It's just not worth it to eat the wrong foods. Luckily this time around I didn't destroy the diet and gain a whole lot back. It will be easier to get those 3 lbs back off. I just have to start over again.

Well, I did it again. I let the stress get to me and went "off the wagon" so to speak for 2 days. Havent weighed myself because It will upset me too much. Will get back on track tomorrow morning again. I am trying to focus on moving forward instead of dwelling on the mistakes. I keep loosing 7-8 lbs, gaining 2-3 and then loosing again. Overall I am loosing more than I am gaining so I will take it.
I am paying for eating the wrong things today. Feel like I have the flu, sinus headache, chest tight, congestion, etc. I did it to myself so I can't complain. Im just documenting it so that when I feel the urge to do this again I can read what it did to me.
