Due to my neck injury I have not been able to work out for 3 months. I continue to monitor my diet but without the workouts my weight wants to fly higher. The lack of physical activity change me phsycologically as I tend to rely on food for comfort, not in an exreme way but I find myself wanting to eat more when I feel more pain.
The experience has given me insight to pain being linked to wieght and bad choice of food. I am humbled by the experience and greatful that I now understand the pain people are going through and be respectful of such fact.
As a personal trainer, this experience helps me be more understanding of peoples challenges in life.
I found a great CHIRO who found the root cause and I am now on the mend and looking forward to building myself up again in order that I can help others better.

Keep up the positive attitude, glad to hear you are on the mend and found some good treatment.
So difficult to get good sleep as well with something like that going on, then affects mood which then affects diet. Little things like a new pillow helped me a lot.

It's also great that you have gained something positive out of this experience, I'm sure it will help your PT work immensely. Glad you're on the mend, it sucks when you're not allowed to move around and be active!

I'm in the same boat. I had a torn ACL and surgery about two weeks ago. Not being able to do cardio sucks.
