I have tried to watch what I was eating over Thanksgiving. Glad to see I did not gain weight. Now to tackle the annual cookie baking marathon with my sisters. That will be the hard part. Cream Wafers, Berlinkranzer, Fattigmond,. Candy Cane Cookies. Then there is the Lefse and the Julekaka. I think I am in trouble.

Good job. Maybe eat no carbs before you go, and fill up on water beforehand. :-)

If a taste "wakes the beast", then don't do it...If it doesn't, then pick you absolute favorite and enjoy and savor it, then call it good!

I will definitely be watching carbs before and after. Perhaps a couple carb deplete weeks to help out.
The cookie baking began in 1973 with my youngest sister. It grew from there and has become.e a big family tradition. We bake Norwegian goodies our grandmother used to make for us.
I promise to do my best to be good.
My favorites are the cream wafers and the Berlinkranzer.
