Well, I ate like a pig for 4th of July, my best friend invited us over and we had hot dogs, chicken burgers, sushi, salad and apple pie, ice cream. We started around 3 pm and left around 11 pm and kind of just ate all evening.

I STILL haven't started the diet yet. However, good news! I stopped eating in the middle of the night. I started by eating breakfast every day and that seems to have helped with eating at night. Not sure why, though. I don't eat as much at dinner, and I tried eating unsalted nuts whenever I did get hungry, and so the midnight eating just faded away! This helped me to lose a few pounds.

I've been a lot more active too. I cleaned out my library/office, started selling Avon products, started the writing classes, starting dancing again on Saturdays. I seem to have a lot more energy these days.

Hubby and I keep saying we'll start "this week", but things keep popping up and before you know it, we're eating take out or stuff that's around the house. I really have to clean out the pantry and get rid of the "bad" foods, cuz I'm snacking sometimes during the day, but I DO intend to start soon.

I'm encouraged though that I'm eating less and not eating middle of the night and have more energy, excited about life, happy to be doing things and not just moping around depressed.

I bought some shorts for the summer heatwave and even though I look terrible, at least I'm comfortable! I really thought I'd have to wear XL or 1X, but I fit into a L (from JC Penny) shorts, they have elastic waist bands so I don't mind because if I do lose weight, they'll still fit for a while.

Hopefully, I'll get that pantry cleaned out by the end of this week and really start the SBD by weekend!

and me lol I had good intentions but haven't quite followed them though yet. My excuses are, it's raining non stop here in England, and I have to eat all the tasty stuff out of my cupboard first before I start (Aiming for monday lol)

When I started, I made a snap decision. I cooked a SBD dinner one night, and announced to my room mate that we were starting the diet as of right then. The cleaning of the fridge and pantry came the next day, and rather than worry about getting rid of the shelf stable stuff, I put it into the cupboard over the fridge, where no one can reach it. It's not so much about restocking your pantry or using up the other food so you don't waste, it's about making the decision to eat better, from that moment on. It worked for me!
