Day 2
Went 9 calories over. Not bad. Been off bread and flour for 2 wks. Need support/advice to eliminate night snacking. Crunchy salt then sweet then salt yadda yadda. Like seeing the support, kindness fun and pics this community has for each other ... made putting "me" out there less scary.

We lose most of our weight at night while we sleep. If you eat before bed, that doesn't work so well. Stop eating 3 hours before sleep. Have a cup of sleepy type tea in the evening. Your weight loss and sleep will improve.

Welcome, you'll find a lot of tips & motivation here. Already saw they mentioned drink slot of water & stop eating a few hrs before bedtime. For me using a food scale was helpful. Found a small & easy to use on Amazon for less than ten bucks. But Walmart ect, they're not expensive. Good luck on your journey 👍

I just tried Flackers, made by "A Doctor in the Kitchen" as I had seen it from someone else here on the site. They are delicious and definitely satisfy the salty / crunchy craving. My husband loved them too! I bought the (4) pack variety pack on Amazon. The Sea Salt, Savory, Rosemary & Red Currant are great.

try to eat every 3 hrs., and drink powered Zero is sweet, so it would help with the sweet craving, and for the salty craving try with jerky 😉

The calories over not important but I believe snack in the evening not good I think but I’m no expert it’s better to eat more for dinner and not eat after you need your body to eat fat but it won’t if it thinks it will get more food

The amount of meals does not matter, all that matters is that u hit a calorie deficit.

Yes u want to take this seriously and truly lose weight? Buy a $10 dollar food scale, weigh ur food, don’t drink your calories (no juice, no dressings, no vitamin water, only drink 0 calorie drinks) before you eat log on fat secret, log every single little bite you consume, log even the most minimal taste you take, meal prep (so when you get home hungry you don’t eat just anything), hit .7gram-1gram per goal body weight of protein (I’m 115 lbs I try to eat 100 grams of protein), distribute fats and carbs as you wish (makes no difference on weight loss), BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR CALORIE DEFICIT.

I have same problem! About an hour after dinner I crave a snack. Im not a big protien eater but my nutritionist says that is why I crave at night. It seems to be true cuz when I do eat a bigger portion of protien I crave less. If that doesnt work I try to eat some raw veggies as they do help satisfy the crunch crave.. No magic cure but gotta find what works for you.

Even vegetables can get you fat, if you are in a surplus of calories

I usually plan ahead and hold out some of my meals for later in the night. I'll make dinner and set aside some for later. Protein is a good snack, and I often have a weighed amount of nuts to grab if I need something at night.

Someone may have already posted something similar. I have found that water has been my savior. A warm cup of tea with a little bit of honey has even helped me. It sound like you are on the right path though.

I'm with Bshiffer. A drink will fill you up without all the calories. A nice cup of coffee (if you can do coffee) or a good glass of unsweet tea always helps me take the edge off. . If I need a little chocolate sometimes I do a small cup of chocolate milk.

Half an avocado with chopped nuts (NOT PEANUTS). Pecans are kinda sweet. Toss some salt on the avocado.

One thing to think about with the water: it's needed more than ever as you do decrease your caloric intake because the less eaten, the less water taken in. So it's not a 'trick', it's a necessity.
