Despite incredible diligence, too much traveling plus weddings have led to a complete stall in my weight loss progress. It hasn't moved lately. HOWEVER the loss that I have had already has restored my blood pressure to normal (110/68, from the frightening 180/110 when I was 30 pounds heavier). So no more medicine for that! Tomorrow is the appointment with my diabetes doctor, who I haven't seen in a month, and hopefully I can stop taking that medicine too or cut the dosage and maybe have a little more of a normal diet. The doctor said last time I saw her that she wanted me to stay on the 40 carb a day diet until I reach my goal weight. That's 12 pounds away. So even if I have to stay on the diet another month or so, it hopefully won't be for too much longer. Can't wait to see the blood work results. This whole thing has been worth it just for the health benefits alone.
