Birthday week! Did OK but took some detours. All by conscious choice, not because I caved in with the craving muscles. Proof that I AM in control of what I choose to do! So weight didn't budge, and that's ok:) Clothes are really loose (yikes!) and am back on track as of this morning. Time to clean out the rest of the closet and throw away those
menopause
outfits!
Excellent way to start year 57!! Yippee!!

Funny thing happened yesterday...my microphone battery pack slipped off the waistline of my slacks and slid down my leg while I was speaking on stage! Definitely time to buy a smaller size!!!

About water, fat and muscles from mypetfat.com ...
LB of FAT and a LB of MUSCLE and a LB of WATER all WEIGH THE SAME, but they all affect our body very differently. WATER has NO CALORIES, MUSCLE BURNS CALORIES, it's only OUR FAT that's the KEEPER OF THE CALORIES.
So ON ANY GIVEN DAY, what we WEIGH, up or down many times has nothing to do with an increase or decrease in BODY FAT.
The biggest factor that affects our scales on a daily basis is WATER. Now I'm not a doctor, but I've read enough, and I understand just enough physiology to get the fact that WATER is a major player in whatever comes up on our scale.
Look at this WEIGH...
ON ANY GIVEN DAY... your bones are not really going to get any lighter or heavier.
ON ANY GIVEN DAY... you probably can't increase or decrease your muscle mass in any major way.
ON ANY GIVEN DAY... you can eat less, or eat more, which MAY move your scale in either direction.
ON ANY GIVEN DAY... you can exercise or not, which MAY move your scale in either direction.
ON ANY GIVEN DAY... our bodies are made up of 60 - 70% water
So what would you say ON ANY GIVEN DAY... affects our scale the most... I'd say WATER
WATERS in our bones, all of our connective tissue. WATERS in our body fat, WATERS in out muscles.
So I think that the more we all realize how much WATER playe a major role in our collective "TALES OF OUR SCALES" the sooner we can all let go of the power the scale has on us "good or bad".

Weigh in on Monday, but perhaps I'll skip the scales and just go with how I'm feeling and how the clothes are fitting. Weather is finally warming up here...Started my training yesterday for 1/2 marathon walking, 12 weeks is the countdown to the wedding and my marathon walk down the aisle lol!!! What a wonderful way to get motivated...marry a tall skinny guy!

Easter dinners and family get togethers went really well! I stuck to the plan, used a smaller plate (no one noticed when I switched before we started eating), loaded up on salad and turkey, veggies. And the mashed potatoes (with tons of cream cheese, arghhh) didn't call out once! Had a tiny taste of the BEST stuffing ever (made with port and hot italian sausage), strawberries for dessert... it was SO tasty! But the best part was the compliments:)) It was too cold to wear what I had planned - summery little black dress with french bistro drawings, - but felt "svelte" anyway. Now that the weather's warming up, will get in more walks. Haven't done too well in the exercise dept!! Onward...
