Losing 10.4 kg a Week

I am in the middle of the 2nd week of my gyms 8 Week Transformation Challenge. I am feeling so good. I forgot that when you eat right it makes a body feel good! I learned that weight for me is a hard thing to drop due to the meds I am on so I am only going to weigh every 2 weeks. If I lose great but I am not expecting to drop any. Hopefully my trainer will let me do a 4 week assessment so that I can see some improvement. I can see it in the way my clothes fit but I like validation...probably why I was a slave to my scale for a long time. Now I am more concerned with my body fat % and skeletal muscle mass. My visceral fat number needs to come down too. My goals for December 19 (they were actually where I wanted to be in August and then I feel off the health train) are...Body Fat Mass at 24, Body Fat percentage at 32%, Visceral Fat Level at 11 and weight at 177.

Since it was SO nice for trick or treating last night we did our customary jell0 shot bag. I had planned for it though by keeping Sundays macrons in check. Halloween was not as bad as it could have been and it fell on a high carb day. After an amazing workout with my trainer and then walking 2.5 miles at night my body decided it needed revenge. At 3:15am I was awoken by soreness creeping in. It started in my glutes and progressively spread throughout my body. This carb cycling way of eating is so perfect for me! I wish I would have tried it sooner. I am already seeing a difference in the way things fit and my hubby noticed my legs looking more toned....and it's only been a week. Muscle memory I guess and since it has been less than 90 days since my fall off the health wagon it should come back pretty quick. Forgot to do measurements last week when I started but took them today so next Tuesday I will compare. NOTE TO SeLF: It says I weighed in yesterday but I didn't. I just changed my diet name and it automatically used my previous weigh in. Will weigh next Monday but for me it's about inches and body fat loss/skeletal muscle mass gain.

Week 1 of Body Transformation Challenge down. I feel SOOOOO much better! Yesterday I considered a "flex day." Not a free-for-all-gorge-yourself-on-everything-day. Flexing not over 1000 calories and staying moderately close to plan. I had a Pillsbury cinnamon roll for breakfast (with my egg, spinach, tomato and feta omelet) and a recess peanut butter cup my nephew gave me. OVER ACHEIVER right here. Here is to Week 2 (and good thing it's a high carb day because with trick or treating tonight there are some jello shots that are going to go down. No worries, I entered them under my recipes and they will be on my food log.
