Weighing in is probably one of the more basic, but most vexxing things for us on a weight loss/gain journey. To me, it's also one of the most inconvenient. I find it's difficult for me to find a time during the week that I can jump on the scale to record the numbers.
I do find it's easy to jump on the scale before or after getting in the shower every day. It's just that I can't remember on one particular day and only that particular day, but I can easily build a habit of it.
So, I'm still trying to think of a day that is a fail-safe for remembering to record it. Or, maybe I'll just record a lot of data points and let the system figure it out.

Day 1. It's official... and a lot easier than I thought to combine my normal method with recording.
See, normally I make a week long food plan. I have for years since I live on a very, very strict budget. (Sorry, for all of you that thought scientists were rich. I make a lot less than you'd think and all my income goes to paying off student loans.)
I'm disappointed in myself for eating so much. I mean, I thought I was eating "right" calorie-wise, but it turns out that I'm waaaaay over "budget".
And holy crap is it hard to resist the pull of late night food after you've eaten dinner, knowing full well you can't eat more if you're going to lose weight. I need to find distractions.
If tea, crochet, and work doesn't work, I'm open to suggestions.

I dislike recording what I eat. It takes too much time because I LOVE to cook from scratch, but I hate weighing things. And frankly, I mess with recipes all the time to make them more low cal or taste better with seasonings.
But, all that has to change so I can get healthy. I'm currently obese. Everything hurts. Not a night goes by that I don't go to sleep and wake up in pain.
I want my life back. It starts here.
