93.5kg I never thought this weeks weigh in would be one I would be excited about, not so much for the drop in weight but because I had a paradigm shift in my thinking.
I was faced with a decision a week ago to either dump the app and do what was working or take a risk and ‘EAT’ way more than I had eaten for the last 4 months, where I had lost 12kgs without being hungry and having entry of energy,
This was a mental problem for me. I decided to eat the extra calories and reckoned that if it blows my weight upwards, then I’ll know and it would probably be in the range of a couple of kilos.
So for the last 7 days I stuck to the goal targets, I was very close to the macros and then I weighed in this morning. I had gone down 700 grams and eaten around 4,000 extra calories.
I was amazed and still am as I write this. 🙏

I can’t wait till my weekly weight in tomorrow, I am tipping a weight gain, why? Well, call it intuition. I honestly believe my calorie goal is too high. I have been forcing myself to eat a maximum of 1500 calories a day, Mon to Fri with 3,000 on Saturday (I got nowhere near this last Sat) and 2000 on Sunday, which works out at 1800 calories a day per week, to be good I cut that goal down to 1500 and I struggle to eat it. In the previous 4 months I ate an average of 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day and lost 12 kgs. I know all about the survival concept and that’s why I decided to eat more.
So this week ending tomorrow, I forced myself to eat, way things to the single rice grain 🤣
I will be supremely impressed if I am anywhere near my previous weigh in last week. I’ll let you know 👍

Finished my first week and really love this app, it is pretty cool, no doubt I’ll discover a few more things it does in the new week.
I think one of the parts I like best is all the record keeping. I’m an Excel person from way back but I wouldn’t fancy keeping track of everything I eat as well as this app does.
As time passes, I think seeing the data will be far more meaningful than what it is for me at this early stage.
Okay, let’s hit the new week and smash it out of the ball park. 👍

Yesterday (Saturday), was very interesting because I really started focusing on the ratio of macronutrients.
It too some weighing and calculating but I jiggled the foods and portion sizes, to close to my goal percentages.
I discovered that I like brown rice because it’s chewy which takes longer to eat. The longer the meal, the more satiated I am.
