jume 26, 2021 lost one lb, baby sitting 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grandkids. Probably eating 1200 C a day but more active. adding calories carefully on weekend. Tonight for family chicken, sweet potato, brussel sprouts. Maybe some home made icecream. See how it goes. Just got new machine but they have some ice cream right now. raspberries are ripe and very sweet in store now.

still walking 20 minutes a day,apparently started on the 17th. So this is third night. Still keeping calories carefully. No snacking today. spent several hours assembling furniture so not as idle as usual.

Started walk regime with 20 minutes up and down sidewalk, sticking to blood sugar check and calorie recording. Slept 8 hours. Blood sugar 112. Persistence and honesty, and sheer determination wins the day in losing weight. The vagaries of water retention and digestive issues can make the scale disappoint but the essence is that any living organism operates on intake and outgo. Building muscle helps us to burn more calories per pound.

gained 3 lbs gradually. Stopped adding up calories, snacked a lot, and told myself that keto principles saved me from weight gain but truth is:
1). I stopped taking blood sugar before eating
2). I didn't record all of what I ate
3). I still didn't exercise
4). Basically forgot that intake and outgo are laws of physics that no
special way of eating can off set.
But I am determined to get down to 138 and I will, even if losing weight is harder at 79 than it was at 21.
Can be done.
