My weight keeps dropping. Third day in a row and a new low for me. Maybe I'm finally past the plateau I've been on for the past couple of months. At least I hope so. I think the changes I've made to decrease my calories and change my macros to roughly 35-30-30 P-F-C has helped.
I did the stairmaster this morning for 60 minutes. It doesn't kick my butt like the ladder does but I still worked up quite a sweat. I got my heart rate up to 166 which is 100% of my calculated max. It feels great to get in a good workout.

The weight continues to decline, yay!
I did my cardio session this morning. 55 minutes on the ladder. I was shooting for an hour but my mind saying stop won the argument. I find that the long cardio sessions, just like the long running sessions, are a lot more mental than physical. When my muscles start to fatigue and ache a little my mind starts screaming stop. I have to override that message with a just keep going message to push myself to continue. Some days it's a real struggle.
I'm using a new calculator for determining how many calories to consume. It's the
Body Weight Planner
created by Dr. Kevin Hall. He's a research scientist that does biological modeling.

I saw the doctor yesterday. My BP was 104/68 with a 47 for my pulse. He was wondering if I was still alive :). He finally agreed to let me stop taking my last BP medication. So know I'm off all the meds he's responsible for. Now to try to minimize my meds for depression and anxiety. That will be a longer process but I'm well on the way.
My new saying is
Exercise is a powerful drug, it can cure a lot of ills.
It's a great feeling to not have all of the issues I had when I was 95 lbs heavier.

I think my weight is finally trending in the right direction. I have been working on trying to eat less than 2000 calories per day. It's been a tough road as my body is fighting it every step of the way.
I've been reading on weight loss and the myths that have become common. The myth that you need to cut 3500 calories to lose a pound of weight. Current researchers are saying it can be as high as 7000 calories to lose a pound depending on your biology. Kind of depressing. Also the myth that it take several days before your body goes into "starvation mode". They actually say your metabolism starts to decrease after just a single day of caloric deficit. So much for the short term starvation diets.
