I’m going to try to document more this time around. Use this as a personal journal of sorts. Last night was supposed to be my son’s Senior Night with his hockey team. It has really been hitting me hard. He has been playing hockey since 2009, and while that may seem like forever, it’s gone by so quickly. I think part of my angst is that he only got 2 years of HS hockey instead of the usual four. Freshman year was taken by my cancer, sophomore year by covid. I am just not ready for him to be done! And I don’t think he is, either.
Anyway, last night’s game had to be rescheduled due to the opposing team having a snow day. Then, they decided to have it tonight instead. Same thing happens again. This emotional rollercoaster is messing my head up big time. Thank goodness (and new-years sales!) I stocked my freezer with lots of quick, healthy meals. I’d never be able to keep my calories in check otherwise. Also, youth hockey doesn’t cancel because of weather so this school stuff feels weird. Hoping to just plow through, stay on track, and finally get my health in order!!
