Slowly... but it is happening!!
I cannot compare this part of my journey to last year when I first went keto. I lost 13lbs in 9 days. And that’s really what made me stick with it, the numbers were very encouraging!! But since then I have done things differently, even when I wasn’t being strict, I would have no regular soda or coffee, I skipped rice and pasta, used less sauces, used portion control and had less treats than before... went in and out of keto a few times over the year but had trouble being consistent and not falling off the wagon.
I fell asleep to the rain last night! 😍 hoping for more gentle rain today!!!
I hope everyone is having a great week. Anyone have exciting plans for the week(end)?!

Went to a baby shower... ate no junk!!!
My trick is to eat a snack on my way to a party. I forgot to prep so I grabbed two protein snack packs at Target. One had pork chunk and Gouda, the other had an egg, almonds and cheese chunks. 👍 I had spicy pickle bites in my purse in case I got hungry... but there were jalapeño poppers at the party 😍 so I ate two of those! Came home and my dad has made a stew, I forgot stews have potatoes, carrots, red sauce and he even added brown sugar to the sauce before slow cooking it for 12hours... so I ate some of the meat (rinsed it), added a little mayo and cheddar to it. 🤷♀️ the night before I didn’t eat his meal because of potatoes... but he thought I was just full because I ate snacks waiting for the tow truck... living with other people who cook and being on a “strict” diet is so hard.
But I just have to be consistent and polite and stick with it!

Self discipline is paying off... slowly chugging along. Weight is moving down 👍
It is going to rain this week (that’s a big deal for us in Cali)!! So I plan to sip a lot of healthy herbal teas and listen to the rain!!! Since no one knows how to drive safely in the rain and due to the recent fires there can be risks of mudslide, I won’t be going anywhere until I know it’s safe to do so!
I hope everyone has a very happy week!!
Have you decorated for the holidays yet?!
I haven’t... barely settled in at my dads house... but maybe I’ll pull out the decor tubs and put some up this week 🤷♀️ we shall see. I also want to be lazy and not get out of my jammies for a few weeks!!

I have been noticing... and I mean this in the best way possible... I hope this does not offend anyone. It’s with best intentions...
The number on the scale really doesn’t mean much.
I see people post pictures of their body progress... some people weigh more than me but look more toned and better than I do... some people weigh less than me and I feel may appear larger than I am... I know this app is not for comparing and that’s why I am pointing this out... to bring attention to weight goals. the number really truly means nothing, in the end... it is how you feel, how healthy you truly are... so as we all explore this healthy lifestyle journey please don’t let the number be your only goal... aim for bettering yourself, your mind and your overall health!! And let your body take its time to lose weight because it didn’t get there over night... also each and every BODY on this app is so different and unique. Which is why I remind myself not to compare journeys, not to compare anything but instead stay present and motivated and excited for everyone’s successes!
This was mostly a message to myself to be gentle and patient and not focus on the number... but focus more on my self esteem, self discipline, consistency, self confidence, and my inflammation and energy levels. But who knows, maybe my inner dialogue can help someone else realize that this process is different for every BODY! So results will vary...
