I did it -- I gave up my Zero Sugar Dr. Pepper addiction. People at work would call me a junkie (jokingly) because I once opened the back of my vehicle to put my newly purchased cases of Dr.PZ inside, and out tumbled empty cans of soda.
When I quit smoking 2 years ago, I switched my addiction from cigarettes to diet soda. All my cigarette cravings were sated with that dark liquid... I went to SF for a week and didn't buy any (because I couldnt find any, although I didnt really search for it either) and when I came back, I drank the 3 I had last friday then BOOM! Like magic ---- I quit. It's been one week. I don't know how to feel. Maybe a little excited because I also lost some weight (scale in moving in the right direction) and when I look at myself in the mirror I feel like I look thinner.

I checked myself out in the Restroom mirror this morning and the body looking back at me was none other than Danny DeVito's Penguin body from some old Batman movie.
Discontent is the first step in change.
So I sucked it up, stood on the scale, and logged my food today. I also shook my DeVito shaped @$$ in front of the microwave for about 15 seconds hoping that will count for maybe a fraction of a calorie burned.
I picked an accountability buddy who is successful on KETO. AND I am so proud of myself. Not only am I drinking water right now, instead of Dr. Pepper Zero sugar, I said NO to seconds at lunch. I wanted another steak burrito so bad but I stayed strong and promised myself I would eat a second one for dinner.
I also left my microwave popcorn at home not so much a victory as I totally got distracted and forgot it... but it works.

March 1st ***REMINDER*** You decided to have an all you can eat carb & sugar month for the holidays (December) and here you are on month 3 still trying to have one successful day. Please do us a favor and don't do that again. Thank you.
I paid $20 for an app that basically records my start and end times for fasting. Better.me I bought it for the workouts and I dont want to work out. So hopefully I get some use out of it other than using it as a IF timer.
Instead of binge eating, I will be writing, or looking up recipes, or crying into my pillow. Anything except eating. Then when I do eat, I want to be as low carb as possible.
