My name is Dianna. I am 41 years old and have been struggling with weight issues for as long as I can remember. When I was a teenager I was anorexic and when I graduated high school I weighed 86 lbs at 5'4". I struggled with that for several years, but when I got pregnant with my first son, I knew that if I didn't start eating and eating right that I would lose the pregnancy, so I began to eat.....and then I somehow just never stopped eating. While I was pregnant with all three of my kids, I ate whatever I wanted, and it led to me to the other end of the spectrum. By the time my youngest (who is now 15) was in 1st grade I was weighing into the 250 range. I have been on WW three times, and it works for awhile, but then I get discouraged and I lose interest and I always end up gaining back all the weight I had lost. About a year ago I was diagnosed as Insulin Resistant and I went on the Metformin and felt OK for awhile, but then the meds started making me feel sick. I decided that I had to lose weight in order to get off the meds. So, I stopped taking my meds, and began this venture. I started down this road September 16, 2016, and since have lost 25.8 lbs (in 4 months). I feel like I really have accomplished something big already!! My goal is to get down to the 150 range. I sometimes feel like that is so far away, but then I look back and realize that when I started this I was 84 lbs away from my goal and am now only 59 lbs away. I know this is a slow but steady race, but I am determined to win this time!!!
