What my profile doesn't say is; I started at 260+ LBS, since the year 2000. It took me 9 years to get to 236 lbs (-24lbs). And a year to weigh around 215 lbs (-21 lbs); a 45lb weight loss in 10 years, give or take 5 lbs.
I'd like to lose another 60 lbs, but you know what? I really don't care if I lose those numbers.
I want to lose the mentallity that keeps me from losing the weight. I have some "issues" to sort out, to get to a point where I can lose the weight and keep it off.
If I lose a pound, good. If I gain a pound and identify a pattern that I can change in the process, great! I'd rather learn.
Maybe it's me, but I think it is easy to get hung up on the numbers; calories, pounds, kilos, stones, whatever... and not see that what is important. Keep trying!! I mean really try, with a purpose.
I'm not completely convinced that losing weight is going to make me break my cycle, I just had to write this down to remind me, that I am trying and everyday I have small failures and bigger victories.
I believe in the end it is about following your bliss and not letting anything deter you.
