Today is my birthday and I am having a really hard time with this. I'm older, much fatter, my life's been turned upside down. I'm just not feeling really great about today. I never thought I would be the type, but I've CRIED at WORK because today, to me, is just not a happy day.
Last night I started to feel the funk. Rather than spend the whole night there, I did something that is different for me. I went to the gym. and I JOGGED!!! I think the world tilted on its axis for a moment. And I didn't jog the whole time, jog/walk intervals, but still, I'm proud of myself for doing something active and healthy.
So, tonight, a friend is making dinner for me. I've already added the meal to my food diary. All in all, even with cake, it doesn't look like I'll go over my cal count too badly, so that's positive.
You know what's funny, I didn't expect writing this to affect me in any way. BUT, surprisingly, to me, I'm feeling a bit more hopeful.
