What REAL difference should it make to me what "strangers" think of me and/or my efforts to become "healthier"??? For starters, even the folks about whom we know nothing, are not truly "strangers" here on FS. If we are here, whether we need to lose 5 lbs. OR 405 lbs., we understand the struggles- - - of walking away from temptation and of "giving in"; the letdown of seeing no loss for the day, or week; the bitter pill of seeing a gain, when we honestly were expecting a loss, the challenge of already eating everything on our food plan and its only 7 PM and out stomach is saying "I need at least ONE more snack". So all of us here have a lot in common. Also, it is universal(in my opinion) that we like/want/need to be accepted in various ways. And here at FS we have various opportunities to give and to receive SUPPORT. When I first began to share my weigh-ins, even befoe I posted a bio, some very nice folks "supported" my weighin, and I thought "well, that's kinda nice". Although I had been here since Sept.2011, I did not even know how to support someone's weigh-in, because I was just here to log my food and to log my weight progress. That was a mistake. One I am glad I have corrected. So,whether you are a Buddy, a regular "supporter", an occasional "commenter" or someone who is reading my words for the first time today - - I say "thanks for caring" and if I can ever offer words supportive of your efforts AND/or life situation, please let me know.
