While the pounds aren't falling off as quickly as I'd like, I do feel a difference. My closes fit a bit looser and I realize that I have muscle gain which of course is why the scale isn't congratulating me. Even so, as a woman, I'd like to see a lower number when I step on the scale. I want to stay in shape and continue to build muscle but at the same time, want to loose weight. It's hard to tell if I'm really making progress with the only measurement tool being a scale. I'm trying hard to stay strong and focused. Yesterday at work there were donuts in the a.m, cheesecake at lunch time, and ice cream mid afternoon. I think I lost 5lbs just sweating off the urge to endulge. I fought it and won despite my colleagues attempts to make me cave. I am after all, the biggest junk food junkie known to man. This is hard, but I am determined, I WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT!!! Today is also day 39 without a cigarette. Somehow, quitting after 25 years has been way easier than taking off the pounds.
