Day 2 I am very encouraged that even one day of cutting out bad foods like bagels for breakfast, fast food for lunch and casseroles for dinner has helped me lose weight. I even feel better, being able to finish my day without being so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. Even if I don't loose another pound, the diet changes are remarkable because I am already happier than I was even last week! Woohoo!
I must confess, though. Last night for dinner, I did eat a piece of pizza. Not a good choice, but at least I didn't eat four pieces of pizza. And I still lost weight! I am experiencing some hunger, which is a big contributor to why I ate pizza instead of making something more healthy. This weekend I will get to the grocery and purchase some healthy snacks that are quick to grab in a pinch. Since I sort of started this diet on a whim, I expected to be a little unprepared.
I am so happy that I am still sticking to it though. In two to three days on any other super restrictive diet, I would have already been diving face first into a hugs pile of chocolate, chips and HoHos. Having a journal to be honest with and responsible for seems to be a great tool too. Even before I look in the direction of french fires, I think about what I am going to write in my journal after I eat them. That helps.
Food Entry: For breakfast, I had pineapple. I had a Special K 90 calorie bar for a mid morning snack, Chipotle's chicken tacos with lettuce, light cheese and light sour cream for lunch and TGi Friday's Chicken skillet with a house salad and low fat dessert for dinner. There were appetizers at the table and I did have two chips with a small amount of spinach dip on them, but that's it.
Exercise Entry: Well, I didn't exercise yesterday. Shame on me. But I was busy with a brother in from out of town (that explains the impromptu dinner at Friday's) among other things.
Next Entry - Getting my butt on the treadmill and making it through a Friday without cheating too much.
