I used to follow the Alli plan. Today a friend of mine was asking me about it and I logged back into that site to get some info for her. One year ago I was 12 pounds lighter than today. Dang it-I thought I was pretty close to where I had started...at this pace it is going to take for ever! I sure wish I could see a more significant loss. :)

Did the Alli work for you? It's the diet pills right? I've thought about trying them in addition to my Atkins but I'm not sure. I would love to say that my weight loss was all hard work and not from pills but if you think they really help you lose faster let me know. Thanks.

I don't know about diet pills for me its not an option. I don't like taking anything that isnt natural like a pill to lose weight but thats me. Atkins works maybe not as fast as we would like but its healthy and provides all our food groups. Being older it is much slower and of course my body is messed up from to many stupid diets and regaining the weight. I am making this a lifestyle so I am learning as I go along, I just am leary of any quick fixes like diet pills...but we all have choices :)

Just remember that Alli is a fat blocker and Atkins requires you to eat a good amount of fat. I don't think it would be a good combo unless you want to spend a lot of time in the bathroom :-)

I don't think I want to try any pills. I am losing weight doing atkins and like they say "if it's not broke, don't fix it" It is definately not broke. :)

Since Atkins works by burning fat and Alli blocks fat I don't think they can work together well.

**OK GETTING GRAPHIC HERE**Absolutely do not try Alli with Atkins-it would be a very-VERY bad result. In my experience with Alli, I lost 42 punds, but got so board from eating flavorless food I couldn't stand it any more and let me tell you the 'accidents' you would have are horrible! I stained more clothes than when TOM is here and the worse part about it is the leakage you would experience from going over your 17-19 grams of fat is pure oil-you won't even know you are 'leaking' until its too late-trust me-I know. One of the reason's I stopped taking them, besides the $70/month cost of the pills.
