God it's been a year since my last entry and not much has changed weight wise. I seem to be obsessed with sugar and desserts at the moment. So even when I eat well, I ruin it with a high sugar or high fat snack. It's like a disease that takes over me and I lose or self control smh.

I've recently joined the gym and started running...hopefully this will help motivate me to eat better.

try fasting it helps to control hunger and maybe it will help you with your sugar addiction. some people can use portion control and limit their treats.

@baskington Can you recommend any particular fasts as I've seen a few. I really struggle to not give into the urge of eating!

yes it is a struggle and many find a lot of success with what is called the IF FAST. you have a 16 hour window you do not eat every day, half of that is at night when you are sleeping. example, eat at 6pm no snacks, sleep and at noon plan your first meal, you can eat during the next 8 hours. you pick your own hours that work. you can have your coffee with heavy whipping cream as it has no sugars or carbs. you can not have sugar you can use an artificial sweetner. many have learned what real hunger is versus the cravings. try this for a few days and see if it does not help you to control those cravings. while I on a no carb diet, many people that do not want to give up their carbs aka treats, they find with this restricted eating window it helps them reduce their overall calories and allows them to not feel deprived with the thought of no treats. mentally it is a big boon to those that freak at the thought of no treats. now you should also plan for a healthy meal or meals in that eating window and learn to limit your treats and portion size of those treats. it really makes a big difference in your calorie intake and helps you learn portion control. Once you do this a couple days you may find it is much easier to go without eating in those windows, it is mind over matter at first.

when you have sweet craving try to eat something other than your go to. Try fruits! both bananas and blueberries kinda high in sugar but much better alternative to cake. Also try drinking more smoothies. usually the fruits are sweet enough and I don't need to add sugar but if you want more sweetness I would recommend raw honey!! Sweet isn't always bad :)

yep just remember once you hit 8 hours no eating until your 16 hour window has passed. and no cheating with the morning beverage, no carbs which means no sugar or products with sugar in them. sugar alcohols will most likely spark your cravings too, just a word to the wise. heavy whipping cream organic valley has no carbs good choice if you drink coffee. there are options for everyone to help them lose weight. If this helps you to even drop 20% of your calories a day, you can still lose.
