Homemade Bread

Quick and easy homemade bread that makes 2 loaves.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix luke-warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Add oil, then all dry ingredients. Mix until very slightly sticky and it pulls away from the bowl.
  3. Let rise until double in size, about an hour.
  4. Punch down dough and put into 2 greased 9" bread pans. Let rise again until 1-2" above pan.
  5. Bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 20 to 35 minutes (35 for glass pans). Bread is done when golden brown and sounds hollow when knocked on.
  6. Pull from pans and let cool on cooling rack.
