A really delightful sweet chicken dish that the whole family will love.
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (200° C). Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry with paper towels. Lightly spray a baking dish with butter-flavored cooking spray.
- Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place in a single layer in prepared dish.
- Arrange apple slices over and around chicken breasts. Sprinkle with shallot and thyme leaves. Pour on balsamic vinegar.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until chicken is opaque throughout. Cut to test.
- Arranged cooked chicken on platter and spoon apples and cooking juices on top. Garnish with thyme sprigs, if you'd like. Serve immediately.

I made this a few days ago using basil instead of thyme (didn't have any). Very good! Will definitely be making this again.

Really easy and tasty. I used chicken thighs and added a little garlic. I adjusted the heat and cook time to 425 for 30-35 minutes and covered the dish. This will definitely go into our dinner recipe rotation.

This was just so delicious and easy to make. It totally plays in well to the GI Diet. I'm always looking for more things to do with chicken (since it's like, my favorite meat)! So thank you so much Lovenoodle!!

this sounds delicious! i'll probably marinade for half an hour with the thyme, and apples and add some garlic first. then add the vinegar and bake. thanks for sharing!
