I want to loose weight, and I will try anything! this seems like it will suit me better...we'll see! Also I have found out that my scale is off. I really weigh 202. So that means I started off at 212! ughhhh! It sucks to know I'm still in the 200's. oh well, I'll keep working at it, thats all I can do right?

Ashley - really sorry to see you going off Atkins but good luck with whatever approach you choose - I agree that the Atkins is quite tricky when you first start and it's easy to go wrong, but if you ever decide to give it another go there are some great people on this site - I've already had advice from several people, but I'm now finding that by cutting the carbs rights down and upping the fat I am rarely hungry now and have really stopped craving those carbs - I've decided that I enjoy being able to have butter/mayo/cream/animal fats/bacon/eggs etc more than I miss potatoes/rice/bread/sweet stuff. Good luck and keep in touch. p.s. try to avoid my old trick of mixing and matching diets for the bits that appeal to you - that way I ended up with high fat and high carb and that gets you nowhere ;)

Hey! So I started counting calories and I am sticking with 1600-1700 a day and also keeping the categories in the right %'s... they reccomend 50% carbs, 30% fat, 20% protein...thats what I get it to so hopefully it will work for me. I am still not eating junk which is good and I am drinking tons of water as well. You know I realized no matter what diet I do it will work if I stick with it! I'm so over weight and have been consuming probablly 3000-4000 clories a day for so long I should lose weight regardless! lol. I will keep in touch...you do the same!
