Hi everyone -
I m just righting a thanks letter, reflection of what my experience on fs has been for me and where my drive came from .it is not goodbye but transitioning and I am experimenting with foods that I haven't had for awhile to see how they effect my weight and loss - I had a craving for some jambalaya ( 1 cup)- gumbo is better however to fit on the plan - hard to stop on jambalaya but did - bought ice cream cake another day had a slice - I am staying to my eating plan no worries- eggs tend to keep me the same weight but are great energy and will experiment with them more as I start working out more - I really hope I am not letting anybody down not being as active but everyday life has called a lot more lately - I plan to take more pictures of food instead of my kids -lol -
the plan that worked for me is protein -(little or no processed) - eggs , tuna , walleye, catfish , steak , chicken , cod , shrimp with good carbs - ( broccoli , asparagus , cabbage, onion, pickles ,cauliflower,tomatoes, celer , cucumber , lettuce ,) - I watch closely mushroom , olive , artichoke hearts , black olive - I use butter , ranch dressing - Chinese , Mexican, Cajun are my main food preferences and I watch carbs very closely - I closely limit , breads, pastas, candy, milk , sugar, at all times don't mean I can't have it once in a while -
Restaurants I eat at have good proteins. good carbs, - I limit sauces except for salsa , low carb , sugar barbecue sauce - Arby's , Hardee's , ruby tuesdays, longhorn, Chinese and local dives I love - I don't get fries, one in awhile do a baked potato but I've learned on baked potatoes they are very heart healthy - I need to check into that more- vegys , side salads are always options - soups , low carb based are awesome -
The exercising now is my big experimental phase - I have lost fat and need to get a little more muscle back - I know I will gain now because muscles are more weight - I love weightlifting because it been very successful in building confidence,. I remember my 8th grade catholic school teacher Mr Sullivan got me started - I am indebted forever -
Speaking of which , other people in my life include my music teacherrs mr and mrs Hohman, Pat Holt , Ernie Dempsey , mr and mrs Freire ( army cook / scoutmaster taught me cooking his wife, my mom and dad , Mr Tchaikovsky ,the Mossburgers, the Ryan's, mr windler , the Toigos , the Murphys , the Seegers , curt , my family , bill and Dennis ,church I belong to race buddies - these are people that I want to be healthy for , be successful for , and I want to pass what I know onto others - I know everyone has important people now and in past that are mentors and please consult , spend time with , reminisce on people who have past - Draw on that for motivation if you are down -
Just rambling but I realize all of these people and others in my past and present , have put a fire in my belly to do my best especially when it's hard and I'm struggling - my fatsecret buddies are the same and want to do the same for you /
Saturday, snowing out , Daytona 500 tomorrow, Olympic skiing and etc great , baseball right around corner , drag racing , dirt car racing etc - my family is first but these are a close second - I'm indebted for the sacrifice of our military and their families and many thanks - I'll be on here a lot but just haven't lately - Go Green ,YOU CAN DO IT , find out what motivates you and dial it in - WHEN NOT IF !!!!!
