The last couple of weeks have been very stressful. I ate poorly most of the time. My mother died unexpected. She took good care of herself. She ate right & did water aerobics. She was 73. She quit smoking 3 years ago. So it made things worse when she died, that she took such good care of herself. At first I felt why not eat what you want & smoke & etc. Now I know that is wrong. I have somewhat gone back to eating right. I have not been exercising. I really don't know why I lost weight lately but I am glad I did. It will encourage me to try correctly.

I hear you on the excuses for eating the way you did right after your mom died. Grief is hard on the body. I can imagine your Thanksgiving was difficult to get through. The days leading up to the holidays are the toughest. Your metabolism must be working hard from FF so that could account for the continued weight loss...just jump back onto the wagon and continue best you can.

Thank you for your response. You are right, I need to jump back on the wagon. If I don't, there will be extra grief.

but by the way, it may take a really long time to grieve your loss, especially if you were close. as it sounds like you were. So give yourself permission to do that- even a year or more is alright!
