You are below maintenance and doing incredibly well. You may have just needed that break and time to enjoy yourself. Get back to your plan. I wish your friend peace and healing and you strength. You are such a great friend. Take care of you, too.

A truly difficult role ... very admirable, but I know it takes it's toll. I'm happy you have a plan to help relieve the stress. May your friend find comfort in your wonderful friendship.

Hang in there. I keep reminding myself that I should be doing the "mindfulness" thing. Some of the mindfulness websites have short breathing/meditation exercises that really are brilliant. My son's psychologist also recommended "mindfulness eating". That is where you eat very slowly, calmly and carefully, savouring every bite. It gives you a very enriching eating experience. One exercise recommends you take a couple of minutes to eat just 1 raisin! Apparently it works really well for stress and eating. I must have a go at it.

Mindful eating is so important. A valuable tool in learning to enjoy your food. So many of us associate food with being bad or guilt...its complex, yet simple...
