Lost more crew that were not ready for the voyage. Over the rail they went during the storm. Swept over the side as they fell asleep in there duties, unchanging of heart and unprepared for the test of the sea. All remaining hands are holding fast but time will tell how many we will return safely to port as some show signs of the sickness...For some still cling to there old ways and hide what they do not want themselves to face or others to see. These will be watched for signs of mutiny and we shall give them no quarter.
There has been several crew whose distinguished service to the ship is already a shining example to the rest, and so inspires some as it should well be. They will be commended and honored at voyages end lest they too fall. For its still a long voyage to our destination and we have yet many tests ahead for us all.
