So, this isn't about just losing weight, it's about getting back into really good shape. I've always been an athlete, even all through college. Since my last field hockey season ended in '10, I had the attitude, "I don't have to be in shape anymore, I just have to not be fat." Ok, well, what happened was I stopped eating as much as I used to and doing lame-ass work outs that got shorter and easier. Most likely because I wasn't eating enough and I was tired all the time. That, on top of end of senior year of college bbq's and drinking binges got me nowhere but 10 pounds heavier. SICK! I mean, I'm not fat by any means, I'm a good amount of muscle, but I'm not as "tight", I guess you would call it, as I used to be when I was in training. To give myself motivation again I signed up for the Englishtown, NJ Tough Mudder event. So, basically what I want to do is not just that extra weight I put on but get back into shape and feel like an athlete again.
