So I finally managed to slip under the 40's and I am darned happy about that! I followed my eating plan fairly well while I was away, but there were a few splurges too. However, with all of that cardio work, pool time and dog grooming I guess it was a net loss anyway. I have ceased to worry about it so much, gets frustrating. I got a good night's rest and hit the gym early, I was not able to do strength training last week unless you count picking up and putting down dogs. LOL! I did 40 mins of weights and 55 minutes of treadmill - my best time yet, 15 minute miles for the first 2 miles and then 1.25 miles in 25 mins. It's getting a little easier but it's tough to hang in there at times - at my age, it's not a question of if it will hurt but rather where it will hurt and how much it will hurt! I am not giving up though! And as promised, here are a few snaps of the doggies I groomed this past week. It's not all of them but enough to give you an idea. L-R is Bear (Pomeranian), Oreo (Pomeranian), Pirhana (Chihuahua), Miss Wiggles (Yorkie), and Fat Pooh (Chihuahua).L-R is Pirhana, Big Ears (Yorkie), Lindsey (Poodle), Pearl (Yorkie), Oreo and Bear.L-R is Miss Scooter (Yorkie), Big Ears, Lindsey, Pearl, and Oreo. And this is all of them with mama. Here are a couple more of the pack, before and after haircuts: Party Girl - beforeParty Girl - AfterAnd Hercules, a Llasa - something mix. Before:And my handsome Lad after: Those last 4 pics were actually taken in March, but I wanted to show the transformation a bit of grooming does. They are all good for me, they trust me and know I won't hurt them. It is some work, but it is fun! Peace to all and have a great week!

Auntie - do you realize that you have lost 40 lbs? 10 more and you'll be at -50. I love working with even numbers. You are amazing! What are you going to do to celebrate?

Thank you Skinny, I am happy they put a smile on your face! They really are sweet dogs; a bit yappy but all are well-cared for and very affectionate. They love me and I love them. Thanks also for the props on the weight drop, if I include the loss between 2009 and when I started publicly recording on fs it would be a total of 60 pounds, but I'm good with 40 since February for sure! Hope you have a great week!

Thank you Buffy! I love even numbers too, and I hope too be in the minus 2's by the Christmas holidays. Maybe I should run several 5k's along the way to keep me motivated! What I did to celebrate? a couple Guiness, which is high in flavor and low in calories. :-)

Hello there you 30's girl! Congratulations! They might not have an exercise option for dog grooming, but they should. You're doing great, Auntie! I love the pictures of the dogs. They appear to be happy. Do all of these dogs live in the same house? How many are there total?
|
Thank you Pam! I am very happy with the progress and I hope to be near the next set of tens by the time I run the 5k. There are 16 dogs total and they all live together and they are very happy, very affectionate dogs. Coconut has nothing compared to this yap - fest! :-)

Oh Shame - Hercules went from being "I'm just such a cool dog" to "I'm not sure this look is working for me"!!

Congrats on being in the 230s! That's HUGE progress, especially while out of your normal routine - seems you've got the healthy lifestyle attitude and carry it with you whereever you go!

LOL @ Tracy - Hercules is a wonderful little guy - he is mostly blind but he sees well enough to get along just fine. He ALWAYS pouts for an hour or two after I clip him, but then he realizes how wonderful he feels without all that matted mess and he struts about to show how handsome he is!
