STUPID weight management meeting went horrible today. Turns out they don't accept insurance, and the cost is just too dear, we can't afford it. I am going to have to keep on watching my intake and exercising on my own , with no in person support. Talk about a disappointment.

Yes, that stinks. But you can do it! Come here for support. One day at a time.

You can do this on your own! I don't know your background but there are some incredible sites online -- particularly this one -- and some other insurance covered ones that might do the trick. I wish weighty issues were taken as seriously as smoking, diabetes (its own weight issue) and so forth. It is as damaging. One suggestion is to find a bariatric specialist covered by your insurance to work with you. I always thought of them as a front for stomach surgery but they are more than that -- can help with diet, food allergies that cause cravings, etc. My daughter -- pudgy since puberty and now in her late 30s with two kids -- finally decided to take her own body into her hands and joined a smaller gym. The results were fabulous! And as draglist notes, you can do it.

Thanks E. :) I Joined the Y on the 24th of May and have been working out three times a week, plus really trying to stick hard to my diet. I'll have to look for bariatric specialists, thanks for the idea :D
