Cindyjul61's Journal, 06 May 23

I failed myself this week. Launched a work project so 2 weeks of 50+hours. I didn’t make time for me. I didn’t make healthy food choices. I know what needs to be done!
Suggestions on how you all carve out time for yourselves?

everyone is different but what I do is get up extra early and have 1 hour for myself. that way nothing that happens after that can get in your way. good luck!

It really just comes down to how bad do you want to be healthy? In a 24 hr day if you should be able to find 30 mins to 1 hr a few times a week. That along with eating "healthier" food more times than not. Will put you right where you want to be. Drinking lots of water [for me a gallon or more a day] will keep you fuller longer. These are just a few things that will help. You have to believe you deserve to have the health/body/weight that you want. But like most solo activities and or sports. You have to acquire the disciple to stay consistent more times than not. A lot of people always ask for motivation. Motivation is great initially! But it runs out quickly. Discipline is doing the things we hate, like we love them!

Things might be crazy at work sometimes, but weekends should give you a couple of hours to exercise, even if it's just walking around your neighborhood. Even with a temporary decline in activity, we always have control over how much food goes into our bellies. The other thing would be to prioritize grocery shopping and food prep for the week so that you can just grab your lunch box out of the fridge and go -- and not have to resort to takeout or eating whatever is lying around in the breakroom.
