I am so sorry that you feel this way. I definitely understand, and have had major weight jumps ik the past. I sure hope you find the cause of this, and I pray you continue to strive to meet your goal. You're amazing!! Don't give up now!! :]

Sorry mate this has happened. Leaving a routine in eating habits and possibly cardio may allow this to occur. I always advise my mates to only weigh themselves once a week, at the same time (when they get outta bed) to see where they are. Our weight will fluctuate throughout the week. You’ll be okay. Keep eating the right foods, right amount, as well as cardio/strength training. We are all here for you. You’ve encouraged me to do better and to NOT to let it get me down.

I gained 6 pounds - I think my intestines filled up rather than me gaining actual weight. I lost 3 in a day by drinking a lot of water and eating vegetables and fruit. Hang in there, consistency makes a difference.

Could be mostly water weight if you had a lot of salty food and carbs. Keep drinking the water and give it a few days with good eating. Hopefully you will see a big drop.

I can relate with this I am a large man and can have big weight gains in a short time aswell. very frustrating. I feel my belly has gotten bigger since Thanksgiving.

lack of sleep, lots of salt, depression, stress, late night eating. All those can make my weight jump up overnight! combine any of them and wow!

Probably some salt causing some of the problem. I am having similar problems.

Water weight. Too much salt. Or kidneys shutting down. That happened to me. 7 pounds in 3 hours

Maybe the scale is not level

Could be salt , holiday stress and sleep. Just stay on track and weigh back in on another day. I added uncured ham and a sweet potato to my meal over holidays ( little to much) even though I went into a deficit two days before , but the sodium hit me . Weighed in today and back down . Took 4 days to adjust. You got this

You GOT this Cisco! Do NOT stop doing the right thing! You are on the correct path and you must stay the course! (I speak from experience) Many times, my brain has told me stupid things..... "it's too hard" "maybe this is where you are supposed to be - weight wise" "you deserve to eat what you want" ...... once you gain a little back, you get off track! Then 10 pounds become 50 pounds, then become 100 pounds and you are still depressed! So STOP it NOW! Those 10 pounds are NOTHING in the grand scheme of things! You can knock them off next week - or maybe even this week. It doesn't matter - it only matters if you give up! DO NOT GIVE UP! Oh, any many blessings in the new year! Lol!

Do you have a history of congestive heart failure, it could be fluid build up or excessive salt intake.

This is completely normal. Eating higher carb and sodium meals will increase your water weight dramatically. 1 gram of carbohydrates holds about 3 grams of water so it can add up fast. Keep on going, you’re doing great!

I hate how fast it can come back on and I honestly don't understand it. Luckily sometimes the quick weight gain comes off faster than the normal weight loss.

It could just be waste build up in your body, we hold about that much in fecal waste. Also, once you lose weight it can come back easy as others have mentioned. Your adipose tissue, which is what holds fat, expands and takes a long time to shrink. This expansion allows fat to be stored easily and can be the cause of rapid weight gain.

I am not surprised at all, when you loose weight the fat cells are still there but deflated and ready to get filled up again, your body is a machine that will fill them up if you give it excess calories and food, especially if you give it sugars and carbs like bread, cookies, pasta, flour, pastries, etc. Unfortunately what took two days to gain will take you a week or two to loose again. Careful, cheating days are a killer and the results give you an excuse to get away with everything and drop the diet. I recommend following a keto diet with no carbs at all, I find it easier to do and with less hunger and more satisfying meals. Check Dr. Berg in YouTube 😉

It is a fight for your future self. Probably a bit of water weight. Don’t give in to the despair. After a big gain, my body seems to release and purge to new lows. Be disciplined in your choices and fight. Fight for your future self and well being. You can do this!

I don't think it is possible to gain 10 lbs in two days--maybe a faulty scale?
