That's another few ounces I don't have to schlep with me 13.1 miles, Folks! Finished yesterday's training run feeling fabulous! Today is a rest day from running, so I'll probably just bounce around on the rebounder to silly, fun pop music for a while to support my lymphatic system and maybe do some yoga later for some "active recovery". I have some news for you too: I just registered for an 8.2 mile race this weekend! Yippee! It's a flat course around a lake here, so it should be a beautiful run. According to my training plan, I'm supposed to run in a 10K (6.2 miles) this Saturday to help prepare for the half-marathon 3 weeks later. But, there aren't any 10K's anywhere near me this weekend; a ton of 5K's, but no 10K's, sadly. I'll have to settle for this 8.2 mile race instead. I've been running at least 8 miles in my training runs, so I know it won't be a big deal. I just have to learn race pacing so I don't take off like a gazelle and end up completely burned out by mile 5! Food wise, I've been cleaning out my fridge and turning all the leftover veggies into lacto-fermented deliciousness! I have 6 large quart-sized canning jars of bubbling, fermenting probiotic veggies on my countertop that I can't WAIT to devour! It's just about the easiest and most nutritious way to preserve veggies and get a ton of great probiotics without the need for dairy. I love 'em! OK, Folks... I better get a move on if I'm going to tackle this to-do list! Have a spectacular day, everyone!
