Today, I woke up singing 30 Seconds To Mars "Closer to the Edge", which was an inspiring and energizing 4-minute morning dance party! Give it a whirl:
30 Seconds To Mars - Closer To The EdgeWoohoooo!! Another 1.5 lbs down! I'm super jazzed about that loss! Every pound I lose is one less pound I have to carry 13.1 miles in 8 weeks from now! I'm really happy with this training plan I have right now. It's strenuous enough for me to keep making significant progress towards my goals, but without making me feel overwhelmed. Today is another 90-minute Ashtanga yoga workout, which I'm really learning to enjoy. At first, I kind of dreaded it, but now I can see how far I've progressed and it feels good to know I can do new poses! I can even do one of the handstand poses that I was pretty hopeless at a few weeks ago!
Prepping meals/snacks ahead of time has certainly decreased the level of stress I was feeling a while back. I toss a bunch of washed and cut fruits and veggies in quart-sized freezer bags for each day of the week, and all I have to do is throw some hemp seeds and coconut water in the blender with the frozen contents of a bag to make my smoothie. Last week, I also made a huge batch of white bean, escarole and mushroom soup that has been really helpful in lightening the daily food prep load I was carrying. Advanced prep and precise planning have really made making time for studying for my exams a lot easier!
Have an extraordinary weekend, Folks! Fill it with laughter, love and joy!
