Boy, when water retention occurs, it's just as mortifying to weigh myself. I bargain with the scaley god, squeezing my eyes shut once I step on. "Please, I promise I won't eat for two days, okay two hours." Fear precedes anticipation. I steel my nerves and open my eyes, feeling dumpy, as if my body gained 5-7 pounds overnight. Expecting disappointment and the ruination of my entire day, I read the result. 99.6 lbs. Well, the 10 miles I ran last night must have paid forward. I live another day below 100. These numbers, mere ideas, a game of math and chance.
45.1 kg Lost so far: 6.0 kg.    Still to go: 0.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
