Still losing.

Was bad for 3 days. I blame the hot dog. I got SUCH a craving, but instead of going to Sonic (Damn their new commercials!) and just getting one or even two to satisfy that, I talked myself into hitting the Wal-Mart, getting 2 packs of franks (Gwaltney and Field), and some "heart healthy" 80 calorie buns. My thinking was that I could make a lower cal dog at home, and my son would want some, too.

Well, the son ate exactly 3. And over the next 2 days, I ate the rest. The buns may have been low cal, but they were still high on the glycemic scale, and blew my blood sugars to hell. And, to top it off, instead of repairing the damage yesterday I went out to Chinese with mom. Though I ate no rice, no noodles, I had plenty of mixed meat and vegetables. Fine, right? No! The sauces killed me. I was actually spiking 200s yesterday, and was only under 130 once.

Today, it's grapefruit, plain yogurt and chicken on salad with light Caesar dressing. BGs in the 70s and 80s, here I come.

Yup! Everything back on track. Got ANOTHER craving today, though... Pizza. And I found a recipe to make it with a CAULIFLOWER CRUST. And you know what else? It was DAMN good! I really, really mean it! I'm going to reprint the recipe on FatSecret. It was very easy, came out to a little over 600 cals for a 12 inch with cheese, sweet onions and turkey pepperoni. Post meal blood glucose was 102. I am DEFINITELY making this one again, probably tomorrow! =)
