I did the same and also gained weight !! The only thing I can think of is that I wasn’t eating enough and my body went into starving mood . For me eating more but smaller meals is the only thing that makes my weight go down ( 1300 cal )

first calculate you BMR and AMR. which are Basal metabolic rate and active metabolic rate. knowing the numbers you will know how much you need to eat to loose weight. also, what exercises are you doing? everyday cardio is a big no no. so basically on my example my BMR is 1400 this is how many kcal my body needs to survive if I laid in bed all day. My AMR is about 2400. so now if I want to loose weight I would eat about 2000-2100 kcal. does that makes sense?

weight going up and down can be pretty normal. Mine can go up or down by 1kg just in a single day due to water retention and inflammation etc. I tend to lose weight easier on rest days and keep weight and water on gym days. What's important is to view to overall picture to see your progress. if you are eating after 6-7pm you will also struggle to see weight loss on the scales especially if you weigh yourself early morning.

I agree, probably not eating enough to keep your body happy. I eat every couple of hours so I don't get too hungry, but limit to 1200-1300c daily. I also make sure macros/nutrients are good.

Try to measure yourself at the same time/way everytime. normally, I measure myself when I wake up, after having gone to the bathroom. I remove my clothes to get an accurate weight as well. Try to get an average of 3 readings so you can be sure. other thing is I try to avoid a late dinner if I can so my body can burn more calories when I'm asleep. don't feel too discouraged, it sounds like you are doing the right thing. See if you find any difference after 1-2 weeks because it will take time and weight can flucuate quite a bit. good luck
