Thank you everyone for your support. It means a lot to me. Weighed in the same this morning but am going to have to start wearing a belt with my jeans so that is good news!
Had one of my worst nights since the 6.3 quake. hardly slept and definitely felt the biggish aftershock at 4am. I can only attribute my lack of sleep to watching Sea Patrol an hour before bedtime - maybe too much adrenaline - it is very suspenseful LOL
I am still as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof, but life must go on.
I am thankful to God for:
Daylight! I never thought I would be scared of the dark at this age but daylight is so comforting and it seems easier to cope with aftershocks when it is light outside.
A flushing toilet. So many can't use theirs, 40% of our city still. We can't flush it often but it is so much better than "going outside" for sure!
Rubbish collection. They only missed one day - and that was the day of the 6.3 quake. Praise God for the rubbish collectors!
That my upset tummy only lasted for a few hours yesterday morning. We have been careful boiling our water but you never know...
Cheap chicken drumsticks! I had run out of them and wasn't looking forward to mince for a whole week - it is great having more drumsticks for a different taste.
I hope everyone is having a brilliant day. Hugs to everyone, and a wave to all my new facebook friends too!
