I am leaving at 9pm tonight for the airport to catch a flight to Tampa and then board a cruiseship Monday afternoon for a 5 day vacation. I'm bringing my scuba gear with plans to dive in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. While I did shed those extra pounds that snuck on last week when I went on a carb binge, I was supposed to loose at least 40 lbs by this time. Instead I am about 5 lbs heavier than I was when I booked this cruise in September. I'm wondering if the carrot-and-stick method doesn't work for me... I am constantly sabotaging myself, especially when I have something special planned in the future. (Maybe I have a second personality inside that wants me to fail...)
