No change in weight on the scales and yet my clothes are getting looser.😊 I'm assuming that no loss is due to having my period (sorry men cover your eyes) as I'm not cheating on my food entries intake. Any females discovered this too? I had another look through my daily plans and noticed my carb intake fluctuates but on average is more than the protein and fats. All my favourite veges have carbs. How am I to cut carbs when I enjoy my vegetables? What am I to eat instead?🤔 suggestions pls

Not a diet book by james smith is worth a read. has a chapter the effect of menstrual cycles etc. Also an amazing book for general well-being

Thankyou I will look into it. I'm surprised a woman doctor hasn't written on this topic as she would have more insight on every aspect she experiences . LoL

When u get your daily total carb amount look at the dietary fibre
You then subtract the dietary fibre amount from the total and that gives u your NET carbs. That’s the number to look at
Most veg has a lot of fibre so in some cases the total carbs are cancelled out by the fibre. Eat those veggies
Obviously not potato corn high starch ones

That definitely happens to me, then once p starts, I start losing more fluid( wee more). Low net carb veg are green beans, asparagus, cauliflower, capsicum (peppers) tomatoes, broccoli, eggplant(Aubergine), no to peas, carrots, pumpkin(squash), onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnip, corn.

Oh, and yes to spinach, celery, mushrooms, no to beetroot, Swede, turnip.

Yep. Rule of thumb. If it’s grown below ground. Avoid. Or severely limit such as carrot 🥕
If grown above ground. All good

Exceptions are corn. Grown above but high

Although apparently peas are no, even though above ground.

Great help everybody 👍 apparently from the lists of veges you have given me, I've been eating correctly. Was eating the peas and carrots but no loss to me cutting them out. Oh so sad about the beetroot. Thanks for all the advise, much appreciated

Keep up the good work, satisfying your craving with a Turkish coffee is great news. And you havent put in weight. You go girl! I havent read your full diary but all I can see is, once you stop losing weight start cutting out more of the underground grown veggies and adding above ground.. xylitol is a nice sweetner, i cant stand stevia, gives me an after taste.. Try that next time you have a turkish coffee and stay away from the sugar .. I hope this helps.. ❤
