I will be turning 54 in a few months and I have been going through menopause for a few years now and the weight gain is crazy and the hot flashes and night sweats are a real pain in the butt. I have tried exercising and eating better before but things didn't work out. I had to drop my gym membership because my husband was laid off and we had to cut back on things. Husband bern back to work and things are looking good for us, so I decided that the year 2020 will be the year that I lose some weight and start eating healthier. I want to be able to bend over and tie my shoes and pick something up off the floor without getting winded, I want to be able to walk up one flight of stairs and not feel tired. so I decided that January will be the month that I start losing weight and so far lost 2lbs. might not seem much but it is to me. Hopefully I'll keep the weight off because in the past I lose a few pounds and decide I can reward myself with a little extra food treat and I think that is probably why my dieting did not work in the past so this time when I reach my monthly goal, I'm going to treat myself to new nail polish or a facial or a manicure or something else that isn't food related. February I'm going back to the gym and try to keep on task. My goal is to lose 5 lbs. a month. Today was my first weigh in after a week of using this diet app. and I lost 2 lbs. I did weigh 180.6 and now I weigh 178.6 so only 3 more pounds to go for this month. I will lose the weight this time and I will look and feel better this time. I have a goal and I will reach it this time!!
