Well here I am. 300 lbs. I'm so very sad & mad at myself for letting it get to this point. I have to do something now, or I never will. I have trouble just walking around a store without massive back pain & needing to sit down for a few minutes, until I can continue walking. So here I am friends, back to try this out again. This is my first day & I hope I stick with it! Last time my exercise bike broke & I just gave up. Now I'm back 40 lbs heavier than I was then. I have just about lost hope I will ever be a normal size ever again. Sorry to be such a downer, but at least I'm here, right? Here I go, please wish me luck!

Good luck...Try your best is all you can do. It is so hard to lose weight. It has taken me 3 years to lose 35 lbs. Started at 285 now at 250.

I am right there with you! I start feeling like a failure and then look at messages mand realize i am not alone. I still have 23lbs to go to get down to my weight when i started. the ill only have another 75lbs to goal. Girl this is no fun but the rewards are great. lets work together. Goal weekly..2.5lbs. agree not to beat yourself up if you taste icecream. lets figure out weekly calorie intake and macros. we can balance out anything in the week right? let me know your thoughts. I really need a friend who knows the challenges.

I was at 340. Now 272 and at an impasse for the past three months. No the exercise of pushing away from our great land of plenty is HARD. one week at a time. Be sensible and eat to live not live to eat. Keep moving forward.

Good luck. Make your plan and work it. Do not focus so much on exercise for now, focus on the eating plan

You can do this. It will be a bumpy road, you'll likely gain and lose, and gain and lose, but if you stick with it, you'll be better and better each week.

Hey there and welcome. I started my journey here not very far from where you are starting weight-wise, with pretty close to the same reasons. I couldn't bend over and tie my shoes without holding my breath. I couldn't walk up and down the 4 stairs on my porch without holding tightly to the railing and taking them one at a time. Grocery shopping was a freakin' nightmare. At this point, I've lost over 90 lbs by taking it slowly (2 lbs a week is my goal) and knowing that if I just stick with this, it will eventually come off. I'm not a big exerciser. I'll go for a walk from time to time, but nothing regular, and certainly no weights or anything structured. I've lost it all by eating fewer calories. That's it. You eat to be the size you want, you work out to be the shape you want. I just wanted to let you know that this can absolutely be done, even if your exercise bike breaks. Don't lose hope. Welcome to fatsecret. And good luck!

Good luck. I'm a beginner, too. I have a plan and someone who I report to who supports me. I'm one month in and have lost 15 pounds with no exercise.
