One of the things I am really proud of learning which probably seems small to most people but gargantuan for me is, I can fall off my plan and not wait for a Monday, the first of the month or a New Year to start again. I used to be trapped by a start date for some reason - waiting for the perfect time to reboot. It prolongs the misery of not being my best self. The second thing is I am proud of being able to record my high weights. It allows me to see the right patterns in my weight loss... Highs and lows - and when I am on a high then I know that a low is coming. I need that today because the lbs are climbing ;)

Same here! Always waiting, counting down the weeks/days, thinking some calculation of pounds to lose in X amount of time is the formula that will fix my eating and exercise habits. Stifling perfectionism.

So true! I used to come up this some pretty elaborate plans, and I would always end up falling off and then into a new one. My mom so kindly mentioned "why do you have to make things so complicated?" Now I live in the mindset of "it is what it is, and this will change/or is temporary." Congrats on the mental shift!
