This causes horrible cramping and some nausea. It was amazing the difference in the scales lol. But I finally hit my goal of 280 and I'm still maintaining it this morning. So its logged.

have you investigated that some foods may tend to promote your constipation issues?? I know that certain things definitely did it for me.

Do you take a daily fibre capsule. It may help.

Insoluble fiber is not my friend lol. Brussels, broccoli, ect... Beans r the worst! Sometimes they cause nausea. Do not take fiber capsules. Normally I have ibs-d so this is a new problem. This diet has changed the way my body works lol. I'm on a learning curves I guess you could say. Just really hate the cramps that come with laxative. Will look into the capsules though. And other natural remedies.

Nice drop! I'm not sure of the diet you are on, but protein shakes and apples help me. I hope you find something that works. That has to be hard to deal with.

If you eat a lot of protein, you might just get a gentle over the counter stool softenee pills. You can take up to 7 a day and it works very well with no cramping.

I have trouble with laxatives, too, even the "soft" ones. I use dried apricots instead. 4-5 are okay for a normal portion, but if I need things to move along, I'll up it to 8-10. Bingo!

SoCal I'm gonna try the apricots. I've tried plums but they really don't help much. Apples tend to give me blisters so no good there.

I tend to suffer from the constipation form of IBS and I find that eating Oatibix for breakfast and meals containing sweetcorn sort me out. If really bad though then I use a laxative called Dulcolax which is very gentle on the stomach but very effective.

Sometimes a little coffee with salt will work.

Dates work but they are a high in calories and sugar. Prunes/plums don't work for me either.
