I am 45 hours into my very first ever 48 hour fast and I'm feeling fantastic! I may continue to hold out until dinner tonight, which would make it about a 52 hour fast with water/coffee only. Tonight is fried green tomatoes (fried in a pork rind/almond flour mix) and grilled pork chops on the grill. Mom is cooking so that's even better!
I am on zero prescription medications for the first time since I was a teenager (I'm 55) and I am very close to crossing the line from Obesity to just "Overweight".
When I began this journey on FatSecret, I was confronted by the screen asking me for my goal weight. I had no idea. I put down 150, but as far as I was concerned, I could have put down my birth weight and it would have seemed just as much a possibility. I have been burned before. But this time, I really have found the secret for me. My goal is now 145, which puts me nicely into the "normal" range for my BMI. And yes, I know that the BMI is just a number, and not even a very relevant one when you consider all the factors that it does not, but as I've said before, I'm autistic and numbers drive me.
For the first time that I can recall...ever... I am happy being me today. I feel good, I feel like I look good, I have loads of energy, my head is clear, and I am loving just existing.
